The sizes are slightly smaller for closed back clogs because as you walk, your clogs will come up and down slightly on your foot. It is therefore important to have a bit of room behind your heel so that it can move freely in your closed back clog. If your heel cap rubs against the back, you may get blisters. We recommend getting the closed back clogs in a size bigger than you would for your open backed clogs (if the open backed clogs fit you so that your heel is right at the end of the clog).
